Chapter 2 - Roman Flaviance and the Quest for Objective History Fact: The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus was by no means an objective historian: in fact, he was more of a propagandist than a historian. Yet much of his works have led to much of the social and religious perceptions that are carried within the current churches and temples. I intend to shed light where only darkness has thrived for nearly 2,000 years, and in that light, many things will be exposed for what they truly are. Another Fact: The Goal of the Creation of the Christian Church was never to gain salvation for the worldly masses - it was created in the first century in order to demoralize Jewish nationalism and to deify the Roman Emperors, and was later consecrated by Constantine in the fourth century in a futile attempt to hold together a dying empire that was being overrun by Asiatic hordes, by creating a pseudo-middleman to God (the Pope, not Jesus) bartering system through the corrupt politically selected papacy, no different than the corrupt Herodian Sanhedrin and Pharisees that led to the destruction of the Aaronic priesthood and thus the Second Temple period of Israel. Another Fact: The common thread between the two previous facts, is the Flavians. The ''Jewish'' historian Josephus was not named Flavius at birth - he defected to the Flavians for the sake of personal gain, at which time he took on the name Flavius. Josephus was instrumental in the Romanization of Jewish history with a heavy pro-Flavian, pro-Rome spin. He has also been implicated in corresponding his histories with the writings that would later become the gospels of the Flavian church of Rome - as if they were written in tandem with his "histories" - perhaps even by the same author. In the late 1st century AD the Flavians lost power over the throne of Rome for a period of approximately 280 years. When they retook the throne under Constantine, the first Flavian to assume the throne in nearly three centuries, suddenly the fables of the long dead elder Flavians and their court jester became the gospel of the newly refurbished Christian Church. These writings do not begin nor end with the Flavians or the Christian Church, however. Anyone can be a critic: it is easy enough to debunk falsehoods and half-truths, but to once again find the pearl of truth that had been intentionally hidden away from mankind for over two thousand years is a far-greater task. These writings will accomplish that great task. His apparent infatuation with cannibalism set aside, Caesar's Messiah by Joseph Atwill touches on a few significant topics that simply cannot be explained away by mainstream religious scholars.
