Bar Rescue and the Hegelian Principle

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Aside from the initial crisis being created not by the eventual 'savior' but by the owner and employees, the popular television show Bar Rescue is a great example of several aspects of the Hegelian Principle in action, where the owner of a failing bar allows him or her self to be debased and exploited in exchange for a comparatively meager reward in contrast to the television network's reward - often at the bar in question's competition's expense.

The main distinction, however, is that whereas Bar Rescue exploits the short-comings of others for television ratings and ad revenue, in a true Hegelian principle exercise, the problems are actually created or at the very least exacerbated by the 'saviors' in order to exploit the hapless populaces not just for the 'saviors'' own egos, but also for power, privilege and fortunes at the expense of the same populaces they are supposedly helping.
