Crucified between two Eves

Thieves= Thi EVES.

Eves = annual evenings (equinoxes): one of fire (the Autumn Equinox) and one of water (the Spring Equinox) = Crucifixion at the Winter Solstice, when the elder Sun (father time) dies so that it/he can be resurrected as the newborn Son (Sol invictus - the Unconquered Sun).

Nature abhors a vacuum. The solstices are the epitome of imbalance, and thus embody the concept of theivery. Solstices likewise mark the times at which nature begins its attempt to bring about order (balance) from chaos (imbalance).

Likewise the Equinoxes denote the point at which one force of imbalance (light: darkness: winter: summer) begins to ovetake the other, and thus while they denote temporary balance, they are quickly overtaken by a new force looking to overtake the previous force.

Baptism by water implies the summer solstice, and Baptism by fire implies the Winter Solstice. To be "born unto the Summer Solstice" implies an Autumn Equinox Conception (crossing into flesh inside the womb in the Fall): to be "born unto the Winter Solstice" implies a Spring Equinox Conception (crossing into flesh inside the womb in the Spring). 

Jesus was born at the Winter Solstice, mandating a Summer Solstice water Baptism. He was conceived (crossed/crucified into flesh) at the Spring Equinox.

Likewise, evening and dawn are “thieves” - alternately "murderers" as one destroys the night, and the other destroys the day.
