One With The Father The only father Jesus knew on Earth, would have been the father of John the Baptist - the last legitimate Kohen Gadol of Jesus' time. It is a damning omission that the New Testament makes no mention whatsoever of any interaction between John the Baptist's father and Jesus, even though Mary went to Zechariah's house while she was pregnant with Jesus; even though they were all related by both lineage and heritage; even though the only two people whom were ever visited by the Archangel Gabriel were Jesus' mother Mary and Zechariah; and even though Zechariah would have been a huge influence in the youth of a figure such as Jesus. Undoubtedly, it would have been Zechariah who introduced Jesus to the priesthood. It would have been Zechariah whom taught Jesus about the priesthood and the political atmosphere at the time. Yet the Bible's silence on these facts reveals a huge amount of intentional omission: for what purpose? What does Christianity fear so much about Zechariah, that they intentionally minimize him?
