The Fiery Horse and the Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem

For reference, Leo (the scorching all consuming Lion) is Sekhmet in Egyptian tradition. The Egyptian epic Sekhmet and the Destruction of Mankind, embodies the fiery horse portrayed by the sign Leo in the heavens, whose rampage occurs during the hottest days of the year: from the Summer Solstice until Autumn.

In the epic, the father God Ra (the Sun) is getting up in age, and as such mortals start to mock him. He heard their insults and they hurt him. He summoned his daughter Hathor in the form of the lioness Sekhmet (in astrology, Leo is a Fire sign and is ruled by the Sun), who went about slaughtering mankind indiscriminately. For three days (the summer solstice) she killed and drank the blood of men. Ra began to feel sorry for them and realized he didn’t want them destroyed completely, but Sekhmet’s frenzy was unstoppable. It was realized that the only way to calm her was to trick her, so while she was asleep, beer was dyed red and spilled all over the land. When she awoke, she thought the red liquid was blood and drank it, making her drunk and calming her. Even though Ra was able to take great vengeance on the blasphemous men, he decided that he would retire to the heavens. When the men who had survived saw that the Sun God was leaving them (at the Autumn Equinox), they repented their sins and showed their respects. But even though Ra forgave them, he still decided to leave.

Riding upon an ass and a colt: Cancer the fiery horse, with Leo (Judah) on his back: The Red Lion is the Red Horseman (The ravaging Egyptian lioness Sekhmet, who was likewise Red)... the Solar Jesus, son of David (David = Judah the Lion = Leo), riding triumphantly into Jerusalem on an ass and a colt (the two Asses of Cancer) was the second horseman, and also signifies the Sun from Cancer into Leo at the Summer Solstice - the time of year when the sun is in all of its glory - the triumphal entry of the Sun - Son of Judah riding an ass and a colt into Jerusalem.
