The Crab

Leo is preceded in the summer sky by Cancer. Cancer is the fiery red horse upon which Leo rides into the Summer Solstice. Cancer is denoted by the Crab - an amphibious creature totemic of mankind transitioning between the sea and the earth, as would be the case following a great flood - or a baptism - or an exodus.

The Summer Solstice occurs at the cusp between Cancer and Leo - the Crab and the Lion. The New Testament states that Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem on an ass and a colt, just as had been predicted centuries prior. As such we see Jesus - the Son of David (the Lion or Leo of Judah) - riding Cancer into the Summer Solstice.

Cancer contains two groups of stars known as the two asses. Riding upon an ass and a colt: Cancer the fiery horse, with Leo (Judah) on his back: The Red Lion is the fiery Horseman - the Solar Jesus, son of David (David = Judah the Lion = Leo), riding triumphantly into Jerusalem on the backs of an ass and a colt (the two Asses of Cancer). He is the second horseman, and also signifies the Sun from Cancer into Leo at the Summer Solstice - the time of year when the sun is in all of its glory - the triumphal entry of the Sun - Son of Judah (the Lion) riding an ass and a colt into Jerusalem.

In ancient Babylonian, the sign for the zodiac Cancer is a turtle, and the constellation consists of two asses - the Southern and Northern Asses. These two asses are used as the actual symbol for the Cancer zodiac sign:

Fiery red.

What is interesting about Cancer, is that just prior to Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, he walked on water and made mention of fish for the first time. Crabs don't just swim below the surface: like turtles, they can walk on water. That these events (walking on water just prior to riding two asses into Jerusalem) occurred at around the same time in the gospels, coupled to the sudden use of fishing allegories, signifies that Jesus was in the House of Cancer at the Summer Solstice cusp, and that he likewise knew that the Ages were changing from Aries to Pisces when he carried out these very interesting feats. Jesus knew that this was the last Summer Solstice of Aries and the first Summer Solstice of Pisces.
