Jesus' Death and the Jews

The Jews did not kill Jesus.

Josephus' and the Flavians' fingerprints are all over the New Testament gospels. As much as the New Testament was created in order to supplant the Old Testament - using the Old Testament only as a means of building pseudo-credibility to the New Testament in order to lure in and reroute the reader to the New Testament - likewise, the writings of Josephus were created to tacitly lend passive pseudo-credibility to the New Testament. In reality, the New Testament did not fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament, but rather it exploited and diminished them, just as Judaic scripture largely exploited and diminished Babylonian and Egyptian traditions which the Hebrews overtly vilified while simultaneously and covertly claiming portions of those same sources as their own "history".

By claiming that the Jews insisted on Christ's crucifixion, Josephus' and the Flavians' goals were fourfold:

To uphold the mirage of a normalized Roman rule of law reigning over a rebellious people as a "necessary evil" (the abuser vilifying the victim), even though Rome itself was just as chaotic and corrupt as Judea at the time;
To "lessen" the reality of Josephus' own guilt regarding betraying his birthright and culture ("the zealots deserved to be betrayed for not falling prostrate to the invading Roman occupiers and their treacherous Judaean lapdogs");
To remove Roman guilt for the murder of Jesus ("Rome didn't want to kill Jesus, but the Jews insisted"); and
To build a bridge between the "pagan barbarians" and Rome ("the Jews killed your messiah "against our wishes", but don't worry - you can still worship him through our church").

Of course, the Flavians had to completely malign and corrupt the historicity and allegorical prose of Judea in order to confuse the masses enough that the masses were compelled to become terminally codependent on Rome in order to "understand things properly", and to hide the truth from the masses, lest Rome's stranglehold on the masses' psyches as the "only surviving Middlemen to God" wane. This was made far easier for them by the fact that most of the Jews of those earlier times who were first-hand witnesses to history were conveniently killed off by the Romans or by traitors the likes of Josephus.
